Workspaces and Account Settings

Updated: May 8, 2026

Workspaces keep research, participants, integrations, billing, and team access organized. Most Settings pages apply to the workspace shown in the sidebar. Open the workspace switcher in the sidebar and choose Manage workspace to reach workspace Settings.

Create a Workspace

Open the workspace switcher in the sidebar, choose Switch Workspace, then select Add workspace.

The new workspace form asks for:

  • Name - the display name shown in the sidebar and Settings.
  • Unique URL - the workspace slug used in URLs. Perspective auto-generates one from the name, but you can edit it before saving. It can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens.
  • Description - optional context for what the workspace is for.

When the workspace is created, you become its Owner and Perspective switches you into that workspace.

Switch Workspaces

The workspace switcher separates workspaces into:

  • My Workspaces - workspaces where you are a direct member.
  • Shared with Me - workspaces or content shared with you where you are not a direct workspace member.

Use Make default workspace in the switcher or the Account settings page to choose which workspace Perspective opens by default.

Manage Workspace Details

Open the workspace switcher in the sidebar, choose Manage workspace, then select Account to manage the current workspace.

Workspace Owners can update:

  • Name
  • Unique URL
  • Description
  • Website
  • Team size

Website values are normalized to include https:// when possible. If you change the unique URL, Perspective redirects the current Settings route to the new workspace URL after saving.

Any workspace member can set or clear the current workspace as their default workspace.

Transfer Ownership

Workspace ownership is managed in Account > Danger Zone inside Settings.

Only the workspace Owner, or an internal platform admin, can start a transfer. The transfer flow:

  1. Enter the new owner's email address.
  2. Choose what happens to the current owner after transfer: Admin, Member, or removed from the workspace.
  3. Confirm billing responsibility if the workspace has an active subscription.
  4. Send the ownership transfer invite.

The recipient must sign in with the same email address that received the transfer. They can accept or decline the transfer from the email link. Pending transfer links expire after 7 days. Starting a new transfer cancels any existing pending transfer for that workspace.

While a transfer is pending, the current owner can cancel it or send a reminder.
