Live voice by default, faster imports, and Sensei fixes for screening, summaries, and call endings

Improvements

  • Voice conversations now use Live (Beta) by default, with no settings change needed in workspaces that haven't picked a voice interviewer. This applies to browser and phone conversations. To switch back to Realtime, open Models in your workspace settings and select Realtime under Voice interviewer. Agents with written replies or a non-OpenAI voice still use Realtime for browser calls.
  • Pasted transcripts that need AI cleanup now take less time to import.
  • When participants answer through Claude or ChatGPT, their assistant can find the current question and how to answer it without reading long, repeated instructions. Each step also names who is asking. Learn about answering through an AI assistant.

Found by Sensei

Sensei, our AI conversation quality coach, found these problems by reviewing completed conversations and production signals.

  • Panel studies now check eligibility through open questions, without revealing the qualifying answers or re-asking details the panel already supplied. If an answer suggests someone doesn't qualify but conflicts with known details, the agent asks a follow-up before deciding. This also applies to existing outlines.
  • Summaries of short conversations no longer explain why there was nothing to quote. For conversations that stopped early, new summaries describe what was covered and what was left unanswered, without quotes.
  • Fixed a case where Live (Beta) said goodbye or gave its final recommendation but left the conversation open, delaying your next-step redirect.
  • New phone conversations that end normally now count correctly in reports that group conversations by how they ended.

Fixes

  • Automations that forward a participant's details or draft a follow-up now skip conversations abandoned before anything meaningful was shared, instead of sending empty emails or Slack messages.
  • Automation emails and messages from new Slack automations now include every detail you requested, marking missing ones as "Not captured" instead of leaving them out. Captured choices, ranges, numbers, dates, and email addresses keep their original values. Older Slack automations using the previous integration keep their existing formatting.
